Adapting to local conditions and integrating all forms of mobility

Faced with increasing urbanization and densification of urban and peri-urban populations, our main challenge remains to offer accessible mobility for all. To achieve this, understanding the territory and urban dynamics is crucial! Keolis is working with local stakeholders to deploy advanced technologies (data visualization, modeling and simulation, digital twins, flow analysis, AI, etc.) to collect data and identify future mobility trends. Based on this data, the Open by Keolis teams are imagining the mobility of tomorrow:

  • Designing a transport offering in line with the urban planning of each region.

  • Working with local stakeholders to organize a balanced coexistence between private transport, public transport, and alternative modes of transport.

  • Rethinking the comfort and safety of public transport and boosting its image to attract more passengers.

  • Deploying flexible, local solutions in areas where transport services remain limited.

Reconciling regional expectations

Growing social and regional inequalities mean that the societal role of mobility services must be strengthened, making them a genuine asset for the region and a vehicle for integration. At Keolis, our ambition is to offer services that serve every passenger, regardless of the characteristics of their region, their mobility needs, or their vulnerabilities.

  • Being a player in local development through concerted action with regions and organizing authorities, by selecting and establishing dedicated partnerships and by steering targeted investments;

  • Taking diversity into account in all areas of mobility: diversity of passenger profiles and expectations, social and ecological diversity of the regions served, and diversity of the teams within each of the Keolis Group's subsidiaries;

  • Taking into account the changes and transformations in the regions where Keolis operates in order to build sustainable mobility that is adapted to future constraints and ambitions.
