Developing inclusive mobility services for seniors

As the population ages, our passengers' lifestyles and travel habits are changing. Our mobility services must adapt to a more flexible population that prefers local travel and is no longer tied to work schedules. This rise in the number of seniors is also accompanied by a new geographical distribution of passengers and a growing need for personalized and dedicated services (home pick-up, medical transport, etc.). Keolis, in collaboration with the organizing authorities, is working to adapt the territory and the offer, and to deploy technological services to support the demographics of tomorrow.

  • Adapting mobility services to the new needs of the population: greater flexibility, greater personalization, more balanced schedules, and services tailored to individual needs.

  • Making transportation easily accessible to everyone by adapting existing services and developing new local shuttle or on-demand transportation services.

  • Rethinking passenger information and infrastructure for a more personalized mobility experience.

  • Integrating technologies that support and enable a fully independent mobility experience: mobile applications, artificial intelligence, connections to other city services, etc.

Dealing with the aging of internal teams

Our passengers are not the only ones affected by this demographic challenge. In the future, our networks will face an aging workforce. This is a challenge that Keolis and its subsidiaries must adapt to. Between team renewal, knowledge and experience sharing, training in new technologies, and more, our group is working daily to adapt its organization to this new context:

  • Implementing a dynamic recruitment policy to attract young talent in all mobility professions. Leveraging the experience of existing teams to train younger employees.

  • Supporting our senior employees in the evolution of their professions and working conditions, through both continuing education and new technologies.

  • Promoting flexible and adapted work arrangements as soon as possible, taking into account the requests and constraints of each of our employees.
