Exploring and experimenting: two cornerstones of the innovation process

The world of mobility is evolving at a rapid pace. At Keolis, we witness it every day.
Technological innovations, new modes of transportation, environmental challenges, demographic shifts… there are countless perspectives from which to view the future of mobility. With Open Explore, we are dedicated to better understanding these changes and what they mean for our passengers and our teams.
We believe that exploration and experimentation are the two pillars of any innovation approach. By identifying today the major trends shaping tomorrow’s mobility, we can undertake innovative projects that are closely aligned with regions and their communities. By gathering feedback from travelers, residents, and Keolis teams, we are envisioning a mobility that is increasingly inclusive, responsible, and integrated into local communities.

By basing our approach on cognitive and behavioral sciences, working closely with travelers and teams, we aim to better understand the experience, perception, and daily lives of the different audiences we approach.

In 2025, Open Explore conducted a study on the experience of on-demand transport drivers with the aim of improving their working environment and optimizing their daily performance. This approach was firmly focused on understanding the skills required of on-demand transport drivers.

Open Explore complements the research conducted by the Keoscopie observatory led by the Keolis group.

Turn your region into a testing ground

The future of mobility is being built locally. We work with transportation authorities, citizens, and local partners to identify major mobility trends, experiment with the transportation of tomorrow, and lay the groundwork for larger-scale deployment.

What if your region also adopted our approach?
