Greentown Labs, the largest climate tech startup incubator in North America based in Massachusetts, USA, announced Keolis would become a Terawatt-level Partner—the highest level of engagement possible. Together, Keolis and Greentown Labs will leverage each other's strengths to advance public transportation and mobility solutions.

Context: A perfect ecosystem for a climate tech incubator

As a transportation industry leader, Keolis strives to optimize its energy consumption and strengthen public transit around the world. "Keolis has a global reach and deep transportation expertise. We're eager to see how our entrepreneurs and their executives collaborate to improve transportation solutions, infrastructure and mobility around the world," explains Emily Reichert, CEO of Greentown Labs.

With transportation being the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States, at almost 1.9 billion metric tons of CO2 per year, 1 the new partnership with the incubator is perfectly placed to connect innovative climate tech startups with experts in the sector. These startups focus on areas including fuel cell electric vehicles, portable electric vehicle charging and more.

Value: Many advantages of partnering with a climate tech incubator

Keolis relocated its North American headquarters to Boston to take advantage of the region's innovative and collaborative business ecosystem, also home to some of the world’s leading universities. Keolis' executives will directly engage with the Greentown startup community via curated pitch days with local startups; private sector pitch days which focus on specific business, climate tech and innovation trends within emerging technology sectors; office hours with Greentown's resident startups and more.
